Shertise Solano - Move You Fool
What do you discover when you look at art through the lens of tarot?

Tarot and art have more in common than you might think. Both can unleash something in you. In Move You Fool Shertise Solano invites you to look at art via tarot.
An encounter between art and tarot
You stand in front of a work of art and you feel something. You don't know exactly why it affects you, but it affects you. Art reflects something about you, from where you are in your life at that moment. The image opens a thought, a feeling, or an insight that was already alive in you and had no shape yet. Drawing a tarot card works the same way. The cards do not predict your future, but form a mirror that allows you to reflect on personal questions.
This solo exhibition by Shertise Solano brings art and tarot together in an innovative way. Step into a multimedia experience where you also get to work with the cards yourself.
In Move You Fool Solano shows her latest work, for which tarot cards are the starting point. With curator of modern art Catrien Schreuder, she held several tarot sessions. Their conversations about tarot, art and life form the basis of this exhibition.

About Shertise Solano
Shertise Solano (Rotterdam, 1982) was trained as an actor at the Utrecht University of the Arts. She specialized in Jacques Lecocq's method, which focuses on the body and movement. After years in the theater business, Solano switched her attention to the visual arts. She works in various disciplines — collage, animation, video and spatial installations — always with the body as a starting point. Tarot cards are an important part of Solano's personal life.

Program of activities
Move You Fool will be deepened over the period with a series Tarot Encounters. On these Sundays, we always explore a different phase of a cycle with a beginning, growth phase and end. This creates space for new insights, deepening and completion. Each encounter combines walk-in tarot readings with a substantive program component, such as a workshop or lecture.
