About the catalog
The collection area of the library is: artists in the museum collection, publications such as exhibition catalogues featuring works of art from the museum, reference works about fashion, design, architecture, visual arts and history of Utrecht and surroundings. The library collection is continuously updated with new publications through donations and purchases. There is also an exchange program for publications with participating institutions from around the world.
The permanent employee and a number of highly motivated volunteers link publications to objects in the museum collection. In the Collection database this information can be found per object under “Documentation”.
View publications
All publications related to the museum collection are kept in the library and are accessible by appointment. Via bibliotheek@centraalmuseum.nl you can request information or make an appointment to view publications.
