Dit werk is gegraveerd naar een verloren gegaan schilderij van Adam Elsheimer. Een kopie hiervan bevindt zich het Museo del Prado in Madrid. Onder de prent een Latijns vers door Janus Rutgers en Latijnse opdracht van H. Goudt aan Kardinaal Scipione Borghese.
