deCentraal
Programma's met culturele partners binnen en buiten het museum.
Dankzij de samenwerking met gerenommeerde partners uit diverse culturele disciplines kunnen we een nog gevarieerder programma bieden met onder andere muziek, theater en film. Dat doen we onder de titel deCentraal. In eerste instantie met partners in Utrecht, maar soms ook daarbuiten.
Over deCentraal
In 2018 zijn we gestart met deCentraal. Het eerste grote project vormde het kunstproject van Jeremy Deller, waarvoor we samenwerkten met BAK (Basis voor Actuele Kunst) en SPRING. Onder de titel What is the City but the People werden 150 Utrechters uitgenodigd om op een meterslange catwalk op het Jaarbeursplein een dwarsdoorsnede van Utrecht te laten zien. Speciaal voor deze gelegenheid maakte kunstenaarsduo Sander Breure en Witte van Hulzen een filminstallatie die opgenomen is in de collectie van ons museum.
Je komt het museum dus niet alleen in de Agnietenstraat tegen, maar ook in andere wijken van de stad en zelfs daarbuiten. Daarvoor werken we samen met onder meer Impakt, Le Guess Who, Gaudeamus, Keti Koti Utrecht, het Nederlands Filmfestival, Queer Film Festival Utrecht, Gemeente Utrecht en nog veel meer partners.
