Over de catalogus
Het verzamelgebied van de bibliotheek is: kunstenaars in de museumcollectie, publicaties zoals tentoonstellingscatalogi waarin kunstwerken uit het museum voorkomen, naslagwerken over mode, design, architectuur, beeldende kunst en geschiedenis van Utrecht en omstreken. De bibliotheekcollectie wordt middels schenkingen en aankopen doorlopend aangevuld met nieuwe publicaties. Er is tevens een ruilprogramma voor publicaties met deelnemende instellingen van over de hele wereld.
Door de vaste medewerker en een aantal zeer gemotiveerde vrijwilligers worden publicaties gekoppeld aan objecten in de museumcollectie. In de Collectiedatabase is deze informatie per object te vinden onder ‘Documentatie’.
Publicaties inzien
Alle publicaties rondom de museumcollectie worden bewaard in de bibliotheek en zijn op afspraak toegankelijk. Via bibliotheek@centraalmuseum.nl kunt u informatie opvragen of een afspraak maken om publicaties in te zien.
