In the spring and summer of 2025, you will find an extraordinary work of art in the garden of the Centraal Museum: The Castle of Many Bodies.
This is a special edition of the No Limits ceramic exhibition! Art Castle, which focuses on the body in all its forms. What does it look like? How does it feel? What does it mean? The castle presents itself as a large shared body and takes visitors on a journey. You'll encounter works of art that explore themes of transformation, longing, life and death, masculinity, and femininity. The castle embraces otherness, welcomes everyone and brings all kinds of people together in one big piece of art. Sander van Noort gives the remains of the Sexyland Castle new life in a breathtaking design, enriched with art by De Wijde Doelen and Bijzonder Amsterdams. Like the castle itself, this place has many faces: a mini museum, community hub and shop; many works are for sale.
About No Limits! Art Castle
The initiative is the first art space in the Netherlands that stands for an art world without borders. No borders between so-called “outsider” artists and the rest of the art world, not between art and design, not between day and night culture or fantasy and reality.
