Paul Klemann (Utrecht, 1960) is known for drawings inspired by his own dreams. He has built up an impressive body of work for which he was awarded the Boellaard Prize in 2020. In this exhibition, linked to this prize, the Centraal Museum presents for the first time a selection of Klemann’s paintings based on his earlier drawings. One of these paintings, The Tower of Utrecht Cathedral Which Wants to Grow Back onto the Cathedral (2019), was acquired by the museum in 2020 and has become an absolute visitor favourite.
