Duran Lantink: Old Stock

The fashion designer takes over the top floor of the Centraal Museum.

This summer, Centraal Museum is exhibiting work by the Dutch fashion designer Duran Lantink. Lantink came to fame mainly following the ‘vagina pants’ that he designed for the American performing artist Janelle Monáe in 2018. At the London Fashion Week 2019, his work was presented as part of the International Fashion Showcase, dedicated to showing “the best up-and-coming fashion talent from around the world”. The exhibition Duran Lantink: Old Stock demonstrates the versatility of this young fashion designer.

For this exhibition, Lantink has been given free rein to design the exhibition on the top floors of the museum. Working closely with Centraal Museum, Lantink is also breathing new life into some of the museum’s rejected fashion pieces kept in the museum depot. Lantink will also present a number of remarkable projects, some of which have never been shown in the Netherlands before.
