Dit werk maakt deel uit van een serie van vijftien grote landschappen. De hele serie bevindt zich in de collectie van het Centraal Museum. De prent is gegraveerd naar een tekening van Frederick(?) Bloemaert in het British Museum te Londen (A.E. Popham, 'Dutch and Flemish Drawings of the XV and XVI Centuries (Catalogue of drawings by Dutch and Flemish artists preserved in the Departement of Prints and Drawings in the British Museum, V)', Londen 1932, p.93, nr.13, afb.op p.XXXVIII, als door Abraham Bloemaert).
