Maria’s Gutierrez design is about story-telling by sharing and combining the Mexican culture of Hidalgo State, with the unique technique of Tenango, a colourful mosaic of hand-embroidered threads. Every Tenango is a new story to the Otomí culture, representing events such as marriage, ancient ceremonies, harvests and births. The design symbolises new and different Miffy stories influenced by the rich Mexican culture.
