Because the house explodes and the footage is rerun again in reverse, the viewer is drawn into a dynamic experience of time travel. The house is destroyed and put together again, accompanied by a voice that keeps repeating the same sentence, over and over again: remembering and forgetting. This cycle of destruction and reconstruction symbolises all the choices made in the past that you can either remember or forget. Memory, and hence history, thereby transform into a choice as to what we remember, rather than a factual truth.
