<p><span><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:small;">In 2010, at the invitation of artist residency <em>Het vijfde seizoen</em>, Ienke Kastelein organised a performance in a psychiatric institution in Den Dolder titled <em>IK ZIT IN DEN DOLDER®</em> (‘I am/sit in Den Dolder’). </span></span></span><span lang="EN-GB"><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:small;">For the performance she used the white plastic <em>Monobloc</em>, a chair that is easy to use and available everywhere. For that reason, the chair is able to represent every ‘I’ that takes a seat on it. It again features in Kastelein’s work in 2014. Together with her partner, she traversed New York carrying a white chair on her back, looking for a suitable place to sit. She then invited people to take a seat on the chair and have a conversation.
