Between 1998 and 2012, Niels Klavers and Astrid van Engelen formed designer duo Klavers van Engelen, known as 'architects of fashion'. In their experimental collections, they explored the essence of the garment. By varying basic patterns, new designs emerged, with trousers transformed into skirts and vice versa. A minimalist starting point resulting in maximum effect. White mannequins, illuminated from the inside, highlight the seams and thus the construction of these fluorescent silk crepe garments.
