On a few Thursdays a year, Centraal Museum keeps its door open until late to welcome more art, local creatives and curious crowds to a special event: Centraal Laat. During these evenings, the exhibition spaces are filled with live music and performances. Guests are invited to get involved through workshops and lectures. Designed in close collaboration with Utrecht locals and newcomers, each Centraal Laat draws from the topics of the current exhibition to offer to the guests a new, refreshing experience.

During Statement chairs, Centraal Museum together with DOX invites visitors to reflect on the many forms and meanings of the chair. Using the chair as a connector and social metaphor, you might ask: who gets a seat at the table? This question will take centre stage during Centraal Laat on 26 October, curated by DOX. The renowned Utrecht talent development platform tells stories about inclusive representation and creative forms of expression. They are programming a dynamic evening filled with dance, theatre, workshops, performances and a rave party. Expect to sit, stand, move, contemplate and admire during this interactive and playful evening.
