Kunst kijken en Nederlands leren
Het Taalcafé is bedoeld om mensen die nog maar net in Nederland wonen de gelegenheid te geven om de Nederlandse taal te oefenen. Door te kijken naar kunst maken bewoners van een Utrechts asielzoekerscentrum kennis met de stad, de kunst van de stad en de Nederlandse taal.
Aan de hand van een rondleiding gaan de deelnemers in gesprek over wat ze zien en oefenen zo de Nederlandse taal. Ontmoeting staat centraal: Samen Nederlands leren door te kijken naar kunst.
Het Centraal Museum werkt hiervoor samen met Welkom in Utrecht en het AZC Einsteindreef.
