As an artist, Dick Bruna fulfilled a prominent role for the city of Utrecht. He created various designs for the municipal government and for organisations in the city. His poster ‘Utrecht, stad naar mijn hart’ (‘city of my heart’) from 1986 is the inspiration for an exhibition that portrays what Dick Bruna meant for Utrecht, and vice versa.

This fascinating exhibition shows how much this versatile designer did for Utrecht, and illustrates his passionate bond with the city through designs and objects, photographs and newspaper articles.

The exhibition runs from 9 November 2019 until 1 March 2020.
