Expecting
In 2001, Pipilotti Rist created the multimedia installation Expecting for the chapel of the Centraal Museum. It was a special period in her life as she herself was expecting. A floating body in a domestic space, the night sky and circles of flames. In a rhythmic immersion, Rist refelcts on themes such as femininity, the origin of life and religion. Especially for the the exhibition good Mom/Bad Mom; Unravelling the Mother Myth (29 March to 14 September), Rist adapted this work for Raamwerk.
