The walls in this room are covered in a limited reissue of a wallpaper design by surrealist artist Leonor Fini. Her original gouache paintings had been converted into

a repeating pattern, produced as printed wallpaper by a Parisian wallpaper manufacturer in 1949. In the pattern, you can find all kinds of food scraps, including apple peel, eggshells, oyster shells and fish bones: surrealist symbols for major life themes like birth, death and sexuality.
