The printed pages from Sören Kierkegaard's The Concept of Anxiety crawl with reddish-brown and black ants. Blom draws them over words that strike her as unpleasant, or even frightening: fear, but also guilt and sin. The ants cover up fear, but their mass also seems to be a reference to human group behaviour. In this way, Blom analyses the social constructions held up by language and language use. [text 2023]
