With her drawings and murals, Lily van der Stokker questions established patterns of thought in art history. Thus, she ‘adresses’ everyday worries in decorative curls and flowers in bright colours and pastel shades. Van der Stokker designed this mural as a backdrop for other artworks. The objects huddle snugly together and seem to challenge historical differences in the appreciation of art. The mural, meanwhile, finds it all ‘quite nice’.  [text 2025]
