Warp
In her installations, Jessica Stockholder incorporates a motley collection of everyday objects and materials. The signification of function, identity and value changes according to the context, like in Warp. Especially for Centraal Museum, Stockholder selected two seventeenth-century tables and a 2012 bench by Atelier Remy & Veenhuizen from our collection. The combination of centuries-old furniture, ready-made pallets and a second-hand computer screen raises questions about what is of value and why. [text 2023]
