Farm 12 (Roze Bollen Set)
This bright pink ensemble is an experimental design by Michiel Keuper and Francisco van Benthum. They did not design this with the function of actual dress in mind, but as part of the process of developing ideas. This resulted in a surrealistic and colourful composition with various absurdly enlarged and minimised elements. In doing so, the designers explore and expand the limits of fashion. Like Moesman, their unconventional work caused quite a stir in the Netherlands. In Paris, where the designs by Keupr/Van Bentm were shown twice a year, the so-called ‘Cartoon Couture’ was hugely popular.
