In 1976, Mac & Maggie became the first chain to translate international catwalk trends into affordable, distinctive and, above all, fashionable clothing for a young audience. It proved a hit: the brand clearly played a pioneering role. Head designer Cora Kemperman collaborated with Dutch fashion icons such as Frans Ankoné, Frits Klaarenbeek and Nico Verhey. Characteristic features include bold colours and striking shapes, as seen in this men’s suit.
