About the evening
During this edition of Centraal Laat, dive into the world of Graffiti. The exhibition shows how graffiti has evolved since the 1980s from street culture into an influential movement within contemporary art. Featuring more than 120 works by artists including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Lady Pink, it reveals how the visual language of the city has inspired artists around the world.
Together with Kabul à GoGo and Vechtclub XL, we present an evening packed with art, music and connection. Take a whirlwind tour of the exhibition Graffiti, join a talk with NablijfKlub and take part in a graffiti workshop. You can also explore installations and the game Hyperfunk, which show how technology opens up new perspectives on graffiti and urban culture. Enjoy live performances by BUMMBUMM and Sio's Orange Core, and dance to sets by Utrecht DJs Liv, Teqmun and Floyd. An evening full of creativity and new ways of looking at graffiti.

During Centraal Laat, KABUL à GoGo brings that energy to the museum for an evening where art, music and urban culture come together.
About Vechtclub
De Vechtclub is a creative hub with four locations (XL, Keiland, Beton-T and Kantine), providing space for creative entrepreneurs, emerging makers and the city. Through XL and Keiland, Vechtclub has been home to more than two hundred creative entrepreneurs for many years. From musicians to product designers and from photographers to theatre makers. Its workspaces are centred around cross-pollination, experimentation and community. Beton-T, the experimental urban square right next to Vechtclub XL, is a direct expression of that philosophy. A concrete slab that has been brought to life by the community over the past four years, hosting a wide-ranging programme from April to October. It is a work of art in its own right, as Beton-T is one of the few places where graffiti can still be sprayed legally. The latest addition is Kantine, Vechtclub’s community restaurant, where the entire community comes together for an honest, affordable meal, a good conversation, a place to work or an evening of surprising events.

BUMMBUMM
BummBumm is an energetic live electronic duo that combines club music with a playful, extravagant performance. Lotta and Kat blend electronic beats, acid influences, experimental samples and quirky vocals into a unique sound that sits somewhere between hyperpop, techno, hip-hop and ambient. With their infectious energy, they invite the audience to let loose together.
Teqmun
Teqmun is the musical project of Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Tijmen Blokzijl. With energetic beats, compelling synths and a raw electronic sound, he effortlessly builds tension and momentum. His music is dynamic, layered and full of energy, bringing together tight rhythms and unexpected sounds.
The Detention Klub
De Nablijf Klup is a creative evening for young makers, focusing on inspiration, connection and the creative process. For this special edition, we’re joining Centraal Laat and diving into the world of graffiti and street art. Illustrator and maker Joost van der Spek (@kri.kras) will talk about his work and how he developed his own style through graffiti. Alongside the talk, he’ll lead a short workshop in which we’ll work intuitively with shapes, colours and letters.
Liv
Liv moves between different genres, with a particular love for breaks, ghetto tech, electro and jungle. Behind the decks, she always brings her own energy and a strong connection with the crowd. She is also the co-founder and programmer of ZORA, a Utrecht-based collective that provides a platform for FLINTA+ talent. Expect a high-energy set with playful and activist undertones.
Daniël Santé
Daniël Santé is a VJ and (Motion) Graphic Designer with a passion for translating music into visuals. In his work as a VJ, he manipulates live footage and uses texture and negative space on LED screens to conceal, disorient and make the musical experience that little bit more magical. For Centraal Laat, he will remix the graffiti on the walls of Beton T live, transforming it into an energetic video work.

Collaboration between HKU and LMNOP
For the Centraal Laat campaign visuals, Centraal Museum collaborates with HKU Graphic Design and Animation. For each edition, a new group of second-year students, under the guidance of design studio LMNOP, develops a visual identity that reflects the evening’s theme and the accompanying exhibition.
