Our public role in the promotion and preservation of art and culture is possible thanks to the generous contributions from funds, foundations and governments.

These parties support us:

Municipality of Utrecht: as part of the Culture Memorandum 2017-2020, the museum receives an annual contribution for the management, preservation and exhibition of the collections held by the municipality.

Van Baaren Stichting: structural extra contribution for a five-year period (as from 2016). This offers us the opportunity to realise dreams that otherwise remain unattainable. In addition, we received incidental contributions to exhibitions and the redesign of the museum.

Mondriaan Fund: biennial contribution to collection programmes, various contributions in the context of commissioning, incidental contributions to exhibitions and purchases, contribution to international cooperation as part of the exhibition Utrecht, Caravaggio and Europe.

Fonds 21: occasional contributions to exhibitions.

VSB Fonds: occasional contributions to exhibitions.

Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds (national as well as Utrecht province): occasional contributions to exhibitions and curatorial stipend.

Getty Foundation: four-year ‘Keeping it Modern’ Getty Grant awarded for research on the Rietveld Schröder House.

Rembrandt Society: contributions to purchasing works of art.

Utrecht province: contributions to exhibitions.

Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands: contributions to exhibitions and research.

Stichting Zabawas: contribution to exhibition Rietveld's Masterpiece and establishment of the nijntje museum.
